Need to lose weight? Wish you had more energy? Tired of feeling down? Like most of us, you just want to feel better.... feel healthier! Health, in humans, is the general overall condition of one's mind, body, and spirit - being free from illness, injury, or pain. Most of our physical problems can be fixed just by eating right, exercising and getting the proper rest. Sometimes, we just need to force ourselves to make the time to take better care of ourselves.
Activity that requires physical or mental exertion, especially when performed to develop or maintain fitness.
Time for Exercise
Some people think that exercise will tire them out, when exercise can actually help to increase their energy level. The truth is, we were built to exercise. When we stop is when the problems begin - increased risk of diabetes, heart disease, stroke and cancer. Most people don't get enough exercise. The goal is to get in at least 30 minutes of exercise - 5 days a week. Even a brisk walk for 30 minutes will get you in the right - healthy direction. It can be very hard to motivate yourself to get out there and start exercising, but the sooner the better. It is never to late because your health depends on it. Try setting an easy to reach, short term goal of 10 minutes a day for 2 weeks. Increase it to 20 minutes for the next 2 weeks and to 30 the next two weeks. Look at that! You have been exercising for a month and 2 weeks now and you are still alive! Take your progress day by day, instead of trying to see the future. Add a jump rope or pushups to your program do it in small portions and slowly build up. Remember to make changes to your program in 2 week increments. Congratulations, you are on your way to a happier and healthier life.

Time to Relax
Just saying the word "relax' causes you to do just that. Take time to calm your nerves.... rest your bones. Give your mind and body the chance to catch up. Resting and relaxing are slightly deferent. While resting you are asleep, whereas while relaxing you are awake. Both are vitally important. There should always be time in your every day life to relax. Read a book, listen to some soothing music, or watch some TV or a movie. RELAX. Even if only for an hour. Slow down and regroup. Take a break and relax. Sleep is something that many people take for granted. They think they don't need it or much of it. Well, it turns out that rest is the most important thing that we as human beings need. The Division of Sleep Medicine at Harvard Medical School, has found that your body requires sleep in much the same way that needs to eat, drink, and breath. The studies have shown that sleep is important in the development of better physical health, as well as emotional health. It also aids in longevity. Studies have also shown that adults need from 7 to 9 hours of sleep daily and children need 8 to 10. Not getting enough sleep over a long period of time may lead to obesity, diabetes and heart disease. Sleep also helps your body to heal and rebuild - which is essential when exercising. So do yourself a favor and get some rest ... and live happily ever healthy.
